These deals differ from our traditional 12, 18 or 24-month contracts as well as our Pay As You Go deals that require no contract length. In short, Vodafone SIM only contracts bring you the best of both worlds, lasting for an average of just 30 days, giving you great deals on calls and texts with the ability to cancel at just 30 days notice!

What Are SIM Only Contracts?

SIM only contracts are specially made for people who already have a phone and don’t need a new one included in their contract. Since we’re not giving you the phone, we can put our savings into giving you the best call and text rates on the market.

With the 30 day contract deals, you only need to give 30 days’ notice to cancel. Or, you can choose to sign up for 365 days instead, which will get you bonus minutes on the £15 and £20 contract deals.

The Difference Between SIM Only Contracts and Pay As You Go SIM Only

We also offer a Pay As You Go SIM only plan, and the main difference between this and out other offers is that there is no contract with Pay As You Go. This is useful for anyone who doesn’t want to be tied down to a 30 day contract, though our best rates are available on Super SIM 30 or 365 contract deals.

Getting Started With Your New Vodafone Super SIM

If you’ve already got a phone then the first step will be to make sure it isn’t currently ‘locked’. If you originally got it with a network other than Vodafone then you need it to be unlocked to make sure it accepts our SIM.

How Do I Know If My Phone is Locked? When you receive your new SIM card from us, just insert it into your phone then turn it on. If your phone is locked then the screen will display something like ‘blocked’, ‘barred’ or ‘SP lock’. This means your SIM is not going to work just yet, but it’s simple to get things going.

Just call up the network provider of your phone or visit them in a store. They will unlock the phone for you, though bear in mind that some may charge a small fee for this. Once your phone has been unlocked you’re good to go!

How Do I Keep My Current Phone Number?

One of the great things about our SIM only contracts is that we let you keep your current phone number as well as your phone – meaning you won’t have to go to the effort of telling everyone you know to start calling you on a new number, and you’ll keep receiving all of your calls and messages just like you did before.

There are a few steps to take if you want to keep your old phone number when you switch to our Vodafone SIM only contracts:
• Call up your current network provider for a code known as a PAC or Port Authorisation Code.
• When you are ordering your new SIM from Vodafone, make sure you enter this PAC code as well as your current phone number.
• We will then let you know when your current number will be activated by Vodafone.
• Make sure to order within 30 days, as your PAC code will expire after this time and you’ll have to get a new one.

Applying for our SIM only contracts

Our SIM only deals are easy to apply for if you already have a phone, or if you simply want to take advantage of some of the best call and text prices in the industry.

It’s simple to sign up – all it takes is a quick online application. Just view our SIM tariffs, select the SIM you’re interested in and go to the checkout. You’ll be given the option to keep your own number, and simply enter your PAC into the box.

All it takes is a credit or debt card to be taken through the checkout process, and you’ll need to enter a few details such as your name, address and date of birth. It takes just a few minutes to set up your monthly payment process and you’ll be good to go!
